I'll give it the best I can do, If I don't have anything respectful to say I won't say anything. I will respond to idiots that make dipchit statements to your threads and they will be labeled with who they are in response to.

Yep, freedom of speech reigns. I won't mess with you or bother responding to your misconceptions since they are obviously , shall we say irretrievably biased and blinkered.

Mostly once I've figured out someone doesn't hear or get substantiated reality I don't bother with them anymore, we are there.

As others have pointed out, a site where everyone is of the same belief does not allow learning and growth, I try to speak that which can be understood and substantiated, there is a view on this site that is the same as religios beliefs, based on faith, not substantiation unless it comes from a biased book.

I just wanted to thank you again for the advice on my sister and life. I backed off and my parents are handling it. It goes pretty deep and I won't post it here. It was real bad. But anyway, sometimes I need a kick in the shorts or a slap upside the head to wake up[;)][:D] Thanks for being honest and a friend on GB. If we ever meet, Drinks are on me. I only drink sweet tea though[^] I am a light weight with the alcohol. Oakie

How did your search for a brand turn out? It may have been posted and I missed it, but am wondering about the process.

    Not yet.

Turns out to be the Fuel Injection Control Module. Had to have it towed. I tried everything I knew with it to no avail. It's at the shop still. Won't have it back until Monday, that's the soonest the programmer dude could get to it to re-program it.

    $1,100 bucks...[V]

I believe someone mentioned that. Don

I thought there was a warranty and lawsuit settlement over the 6.0. Have you checked to see if your failure is covered for even a portion of the repair.

Paying over a grand for a known issue seems to be pretty crappy.

Neighbor has two 6.0's (2004 and 2005)and had good luck with them. He has left them stock. The 2004 has 280k+ and only a small list of items to replace so far with nothing major.

Help get some of that heat out by putting a 4" or better yet a 5" exhaust kit. You can get a whole system for $500 and less if you install it yourself. www.flopro.com and www.magnaflow.com are good places to start. Flo Pro does carry egr delete kits too. If you are towing you should have a combo of exhaust & air intake. A GOOD programmer like one from Edge, Banks or Superchips can help. The 6.0 Ford diesel was a poor choice compared to that 7.3 they had previously.

Without the exhaust pipe upgrades my bullet proofing is gonna cost me $5300.

I thought long and hard about this, I want a new truck, I dont need a new truck but I want a new truck. But I cannot for the life of me justify what they want for a new truck and I can't even get what I want which is a stick shift. I don't care one stinking bit what they say or how good that Select Shift is supposed to be I DO NOT WANT AN AUTOMATIC AND WILL NOT SPEND $45K ON A TRUCK WITH AN AUTOMATIC!!

So option #2 is to get the headstuds done, EGR delete, aftermarket headgaskets and a few tweaks and continue to drive the truck. I'm not going to hotrod it but I want to make sure that 6.0 is gonna last. After that is done I'm going to upgrade the clutch in it, change the exhaust (want it to stay quiet) and shelve an injector set and HEUI pump so when those parts fail I will have them ready to change.
