Live Chat?

I was wondering if we have a time/place for Live Chat -- where we can get together for an hour or so and talk online in real time. I've got chat software with my MSN browser, but I also just got "mIRC 6.0" which is deluxe chat software. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how to do this, and I would be willing to help get something going if we don't already have something in place. The main thing would be deciding when is convenient for everyone. With a little trial and error I think we could get a lively chat room going every so often. There's no limits on number of participants, so from 2 or 3 on up would be a good number of attendees.

    offeror, I participated in IRC for a while some years ago. We don't get many trolls in this secluded spot, but out in the deep water, we'd spend 90% of our time scrolling through disruptive crap by clowns who make "PETA" & "Judge Dread" look like sage, mature, rational human beings. Not to mention juveniles who think HCT is so kewl and want to try out their new vocabularies on anyone in eyeshot. Only if it is kept "members only." Don't know if that is possible or worth the bother.

    It so happens it is members only. Any "mistakes" are easily corrected.

    You could set up a club on Yahoo as private, then use their live chat feature. Only members allowed. We do this for our Legg Perthes (disease that my son has) support group and works out very well.

    We had a chat last night in my own room on MSN. They'd like to do it again this evening. All I need is your e-mail address to send you an invitation to be a "member" so you can join in. There were 4 or 5 of us already last night who spent about an hour in there. See the other thread Experimental Chat Room for more info. I'll post something new this evening around chat time, which will be mid-evening. (Not too early, not too late, central and eastern time).
