    we are luck here in pa. the cost of a ccw is very low and if you can legaly buy a firearm you can get a ccw. mr myopic.

    Didn't always used to be that way. I remember having to get a sportsmans permit at age 16 to carry a handgun then having a police chief sign my application and vouch for me to get a concealed carry permit at 18. I was probably the youngest and one of a handfull of people in that county to have a concealed carry permit, back then you needed justifacation for a permit and having the local police chief ask the sherriff to give you one helps.

    Counting the sportsmans permit which only allowed open carry while hunting or fishing I have been legally toting a handgun since age 16 and I'm 47 now. If I could not legally carry I would be abosultely lost.
