Getting In The Mood

To go deer hunting that is. Been seeing a few bucks in the fields early in the mornings. Still in full velvet. I have started getting the fall editions of hunting catalogs. Had to watch a few deer hunting videos to tide me over a little while. Bought a couple of climbing stands this week. Only eight more weeks before season opens here. The fever has hit me a little early this year, maybe the cool nights has set it off. Yep, coming up on my favorite time of year, fall, I love being outdoors when the temperature starts dropping and we get a few frosts. The leaves start changing colors, bucks start rutting. A time of year that has no equal as far as I'm concerned. Anyone else getting ready to go hunting?

    where you from? My bow season opens in about that same time period. I'm in MD on the eastern shore. CAN'T WAIT!!

    I couldn't agree more. The salmon start running up the rivers, the deer start acting crazy (rut) and with the leaves falling, football on TV and heavy hunting clothes to cover up the beer belly I feel GREAT!

    Thanks for reminding me, now my fever is gonna start!

    Caribou in 12 days. Maybe a black bear as a side attraction seeing as they are open all year around in my neck of the woods.
