Mission Viejo, California-AP -- Police say they think a woman accused of planting razor blades in playgrounds in southern California suffers from a mental illness.
Lori Fischer was arrested in Mission Viejo (vee-AY'-hoh) Tuesday as she left a playground where razor blades were later found. She's been charged with child endangerment and assault with a deadly weapon. She's being held on a half (m) million-dollar bail.
Police say the 21-year-old woman wrote poetry describing her acts and repeatedly tipped police by calling 9-1-1.
Investigators say Fischer sprinkled razor blades and nails at ten Orange County parks over the past several weeks, keeping track of her deeds in journals.
Apparently, no children were hurt.
