I don't own one, but checked one out as part of my overall 1911 shopping experience. It was my second favorite to the Wilson KZ45 (www,wilsoncombat.com) for four reasons:
1)I liked the KZ45's grip and feel better.
2)I liked the lower weight of the KZ45 (mabey a bad thing for match shooting though).
3)I much prefered the KZ45's mag release to other 1911's I sampled.
4)The KZ45's mag holds 10 rounds, unlike the other 1911s (except Para-Ordanance's P12 which holds 10, but has much larger grips).

FYI, Wilson makes a neat .22 conversion kit for the KZ45 (it also fits many, but not all, 1911s) and a .45 carbine conversion as well (also fits many other 1911s).

I'll have the gun in another 25 days or so, I'll write back again once I take it to the range

palentirion, looked at some wilsons very nice, very expensive.kimber makes a double stack plastic gun as well.I dont really care for the plastic grips on a 1911. (not a slam on anyone elses taste they just aint for me)the s/s loaded springfield gives me more of what i want in the looks dept for a little less money than the kimber.alot less if you go with one of the really dressy ones.Ny dilemma is I would rather go with quality than looks but I cant make up my mind which is better for money.Ive only shot a kimber, never shot a springfield so thats where im at.thanx for looking out for me pikeal
