Virus, or hoax???

I got this email today from a friend of mine. Do any of you know anything about this? I dont know so I thought I'd ask, before sending it out to anyone I know.

The name of the game wqiht this type hoaz is to jam up the mail as everyone rushs to fwd this warning to all their friends.

Never believe E-mails claiming the right stuff is enclosed to protect YOU ! It's not, it's never just that.
Never trust any files that you didn't ask for, or knew that was coming.
If you're in doubt, call your friend who sent it to you. If he didn't, it's a virus that sent itself to you - just delete it, don't open.
If it claims to be a cure or looks something like a chainletter - "Send on to all your friends...." - it's most definately a HOAX.
If you get mail from companies, saying you won something - and end up stating "This is NOT a SPAM-mail, you...." and "To be removed from this mailinglist, click here...".
That act will make you end up at a list for confirmed e-mail adresses - some people actually sit and find active adresses, and sells them to companies - that equals MORE SPAM-MAILS !.
Just delete them.
The only help you will get from people on the net - if the one you paid a company for. Install Symantec (Norton) Systemworks and Symantec FireWall - and just forget those Might-Be-Rumor-Might-Be-Virus-Might-Be-HOAX-mails and delete them.
When in doubt - check with Symantec's homepage, what are they writing about it. If it's not there, wait a day - check again.
That's just what I usually thinks of, when people ask me for explanations or advice to something.
