Chicago-AP -- McDonald's reportedly is close to paying out more than 12 (m) million dollars to settle lawsuits tied to its french fries.Vegetarians accuse McDonald's of concealing the use of beef flavoring in its fries.The Chicago Tribune reports that McDonald's will hand out ten (m) million dollars to charities that support vegetarianism -- and more than two (m) million dollars to cover plaintiffs' attorneys fees.The paper says the fast food chain would also publicly apologize and form an advisory board for vegetarian issues.McDonald's was first sued by three vegetarians in Seattle last year. Subsequent lawsuits were also filed in Illinois, California, New Jersey and Texas.
