I just tried to put my new Kahles scope on(3x9x42). I removed my
old leupold (3x9x40).I wanted to use the same rings and all was
going well until I could not adjust the power. My question is If
those rings are medium how can I tell? Is there a measurement chart
on the rings. Thanks Vince

FInd out the maker of the rings and check their website or call them. You should be able to measure them then tell the CS guys the dimensions and they should be able to help.

    [?][?][?][?]

the power adjustment at the rear?

why would that be affected? or do you mean the adjustable objective (front lens ring) If that is the case,...that would be (my guess) due to the leupy not having an AO and the new scope having one. The thing with an AO ring up front,..is that although the front lens may be rated as a 42mm,..the bell has to be much larger than a non-AO scope,..becuase it has to house the adjustment gears/parts in that AO ring,..where the bell on a non-AO scope has no internal moving parts in the fron,.and therefore the overall circumference of the bell smaller.

OR,..does the power ring not turn after the rings are tightened? If that is the case,...you may have pinched the main tube. That is of course if the rear ring is not up against the power adjustment ring. Please advise with more detail and we will see what we can do.

i think justc covered the bases. also, the new scope is a 42, not a 40. that with a possible AO means it may be touching the barrel

why can't you just pull the scope rearward a little and re-tighten it? do you not get a good sight picture that way?

    Leupold Standard rings are
    .55 super low
    .65 low
    .77 medium
    .90 High
    1.00 super High

If not Leupold , check the web like earlier said

    Good luck
