Police sniper makes good shot

There was a show on tv last night on which a s.o. sniper made a good shot. The psycho had kidnapped a 7 year old girl and led the police on a high speed chase on the interstate. The bad guy wrecked in the median. This was out in the country, there was a big wide grassy median. The car rolled 4 or 5 times and stopped upside down. The girl was unhurt and as she tried to crawl out, a hand grabbed her ankle and dragged her back in. The psycho [turned out he was on speed] was holding two guns to her head. The cops handed the guy a police radio so they could communicate with him. He put the kid on the radio and she was saying that if the police didn't pull back he was going to kill her. A s.o. sniper set up, it looked like about 80 yards away, it was hard to tell the range. He had a bolt action with a bipod, never said what caliber. Anyway after more than an hour, the negotiotor gave the sniper the green light. He nailed the guy in the head. He said that he had to miss the girl's head by two inches, that is pretty good shooting.I mean, if you were deer hunting and you had to miss the oak tree by two inches to hit the deer in the lungs from 80 yards, no problem. But, overturned car, girl's head, psycho with two pistols, that is pretty good shooting.
