Had to bring this one back to the top. Wife and daughter talking about getting a new puppy....They want a silky little yipyip dog. I want a Rhodesian Ridgeback....we'll probably end up with a Great Dane knowing how disfunctional my family is around canines! Beach

Actually, some Danes make excellent kid's dogs.

My kids were raised with Danes around, and the Danes would always
want to make sure where the kids were, and that all was well.[:)]
