Heard on the radio today that PETA asked the schools in San Antonio to let them talk to the kids about veggie diets. The schools did not return their calls-(good). This Shannon guy- (the PETA pres.) talked on the radio about his agenda. Callers called in and asked him questions. He started out o.k. until vegitarians asked him if fish and chicken, even in very small amounts was o.k..He, of course said NO;NO animal freinds should be consumed. He stated- that you would never get cancer if you quit meat of all kinds. When asked why the Japanese have such a very very low rate of cancer and "they" eat lots of fish, his response was that- well they do get cancer-? I don't live in San Antonio (TX) but if they come here to our schools- I'm going to set up a Bar-B-Q stand right next to them and we will see who draws the croud. Ha!

The Japanese do get cancer. In fact, stomach cancer is the most common variety over there. Must be that they eat too much fish and not enough beef.

My family have always been members or peta. My Dad died at age 90 and he always hunted tasty animals. My Mother died at age 88 and she sure could cook tasty animals. Gee, I wish they were both here now so we could enjoy a nice fried rabbit or pheasant dinner.

I read a story in the newspaper last year that Peta wanted the Green Bay Packers to change their name. The name "Packers" conjured up images of Beef hanging on hooks in coolers. They didn't think it was a good influnce on children. Do you know what their recommendation for a new name was? No lie, it was the Green Bay Six Packers. So apparently, they want our kids to think of beer rather than meat. What a great organization, NOT!
