How bout another "wish they would make" topic?

We haven't had one of these in awhile and I've come up with a few new ones.

1. I would like an M1 Garand barrel that fits the original mil. stock chambered in 6.5X55. I only wonder if the rounds would feed through the clips.

2. I wish some handgun companies would revive the .38 S&W. It probably isn't as versatile as the .38 spl but if you look at the ballistics tables, at close ranges it compares very favorably. Served well in the Brit Army for years, as well as in the US in some areas.

3. I wish someone would start making 8X56R and Mauser I bore .318 ammo commercially. .41 Swiss Rimfire should also be reintroduced as so many guns are still out there.

4. How about a smokeless pellet like Pyrdodex pellets, giving a uniform charge in an easy to dispense package. Would be great for loading handgun cartridges.

5. Some new bolt action guns with a Krag bolt made with modern steel and box Mauser mag. Smoothest bolt I have ever seen, with a better bolt release, better steel, and better mag it would really be slick.

I'd like to see a air rifle capable of being connected to a small bottle of compressed gas like CO2 with about 1500lbs of tank pressure. The bottle would be in a back-pack for portability. What kind of performance would that have compared to today's...air rifles?

I'd like to see someone make this:
Ever have a car behind you at a redlight with it's music so loud your internal organs move? Wish you could get out of your car and hit the guy in the face?
The ABD, Air Bag Discharger made by Acme Incorporated will suit your tactical needs and keep you out of jail. Here's how it works, We have a large piece of channel iron wound with copper wire to put under your car's rear bumper, there are four 12 volt marine batteries that are placed in the trunk wired in series for 48 volts with a remote switch on your dash. When you hit the switch it turns the channel iron into a magnet that will set off the car behind you's airbag GUARANTEED! The impact will shove the nose ring up the guys nasal cavity and render him unconsious. If he happens to hit the rear of your car by stepping on the accelerator you can sue the pee out of him for back and neck injuries. If you are not completely satisfied by our product you can return it at any time for a 100% refund. Batteries not included.

    Or How About:

Road Rage getting the best of you? All those import cars passing you on the double yellow lines?
Install the GAFF 2000 and get the sucker back. It is essentially a modified power antenna with a little more regity made by Acme Incorporated. Instead of mounting it on the top of your car like an antenna you mount it on the lower left rear quarter panel. As someone is passing you hit the switch and it will shoot out and scratch their paint, they will never see or here it. Acme Incorporated is not responsible for use of this device or any destruction it may cause.

    We wish someday's 'eh?

I would have to disagree ... when I cant hear my own radio because of yours, you are assaulting me with your music and forcing it on me ... and pi$$ing me off
You may say "just ignore it" but thats kinda hard to do when my whole vehicle is shaking

    .
    .
    .

I would love to get out of my truck with something (like a drill ... ya, thats it, a drill!) and fill someones amplifier and speakers full of holes ... maybe someday ...

I want my Mini-.308. There's a Mini-14 around $500 for the AR people, and a Mini-30 for the AK/SKS people. Ruger needs to take another look at modern materials and fashion a .308 carbine in the same price range. Otherwise, I'm left looking at foreign surplus imports like the CETME and G3 carbine -- not bad guns, but the parts guns are a little iffy, and why shouldn't Ruger get into the NATO caliber market -- it's popular and will still be around for a long time. I'm sure they could manage it with today's technology.

And does Mossberg make an 8-round semi-auto 12 yet, maybe even a Mariner? I hate having to pick from Benelli or Franchi to get a decent defense semi-auto.

mrmike08075--I'd post a picture here of the Taurus Raging Bee but their link to that particular gun (which does already exist) gives the specs for the Raging Bee but shows a picture of the Raging 30 in .30 Carbine.

I'd like to see one of those accurate (yet quite affordable) single shot's by NEF/H&R made in .22-250. I was told that they don't exist...yet.

I'll second Offeror's wish for a Mini-308. I remember hearing a few years ago that Ruger had toyed with the idea and MAAAAAN, I wanted one. Never could understand why, when the minis actions are based on the m14, Ruger couldn't make one ... very disappointing, it is !

    Tip:

If someone has their music up too loud, and it wakes you up because you work the night shift, and they refuse to turn it down, just throw a chair through their side window.

    Worked for me. :)

    snake-eyes,
There is a company that makes air guns that hook to compressed air tanks, yes backpack tanks also. They make gatlin guns, etc. Very cool but I do not think they are cheap. I saw a video of them on the internet from a link on AR-15, I think.

As a musician, it just so happens that I keep huge speakers, subwoofers, PA system and amps in my townhouse apartment. If I were ever to be annoyed by a loud stereo, the simple solution is the one that Michael J. Fox demonstrates at the start of BACK TO THE FUTURE. I can give them near-Led-Zeppelin volume in return, if necessary. It wouldn't take long to clear out their sinuses and drown out their whole party. My stuff could blank their stereo sound inside their own party room, regardless of volume. And since I play keyboard rather than guitar, I have a limitless choice of sounds for their listening pleasure, from full orchestra hits to the most distorted power lead guitars to the loudest, floor-rattling funk bass you've ever heard. Oh, and drum kits too. Need sound effects? I've got machineguns and explosions on hand. Loud neighbors' stereos? I think not.

IDSMAN, there is a gunsmith here who for a small fee can transform an NEF .223 into a .22-250 for ya and he guarentees it to shoot as well as a bolter, I may have him rechamber one for me and I can let you know how it does.

    I would also like to see kel/tec make a .380 in a size between a p11 and the p32.

You missed the boat my friend, that has already been and gone.
They called it an Hs 2000, that is before it was bought out, priced up and renamed to the Springfield Armory XD.

I would like to see more handguns that use .50 Action Express. I don't know why. I guess I've always wanted one but don't really care for the Desert Eagle ( or it's pricetag!!! ).

Ruger couldn't get their mini-308/GI thingy to work due to pressures, feeding etc., so they stopped working on it. Better that than releasing something that doesn't work. MicroSoft should pay attention to Ruger. MrMike, What makes you say the .303 Brit and the 8mm Mauser are obsolete? They're roughly the same age as the .30-06. And the .45-70 is older than the .30-06. What you think they're obsolete because they aren't American cartridges?
To you kids with your excessively loud stereos, you should be aware that playing them so loud that it can be heard outside your vehicle is illegal in most places. It disturbs the peace AND you can't hear properly when driving. Just like driving while using head phones. Oh and sooner or later you won't be able to hear at all. It damages your hearing same as shooting with no protection.

This is a million dollar Idea. How about a digital rifle scope with a trigger activated pressure pad. You could set it up for streaming videos and capture those fleeting moments of your hunting experiences from a true first person view. Maybe I should draw up some plans, pattent it and send it to Leupold and Burris. Any of you guys ever mess with pattenting Ideas?

When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....
