This rifle was owned by an old outfitter who hunted with it in Alaska for may years. It has taken over 10 Coastal Brown Bear and an unknown number of Moose and Alaska Dall Sheep. The Barrel was trimmed to a length that makes it faster to get on target in thick heavy brush. The front and rear sights are not original but were added in case the scope was damaged. Further; the stock was custom made to the specifications of the outfitter. Overall the rifle is in excellent shape and is ready to hunt. The scope is a Bushnell ScopeChief VI and the mounts are Buehler. At 75 years old, the outfitter has decided that his right knee hurts too much to hunt the big bears any more and so the rifle is up for sale. Whats he want for it?

Might not be too bad if all that sentimental value is not included in the price.

    What Caliber?

Got a link or is it for sale local?

Sounds like just what I've been looking for, no brand, no name, no caliber, no pictures and no price .............. perfect.

He's pretty proud of it, could it be worth anywhere close to what he is asking for it?

Way too much in my opinion. No collector value and that stock looks like crap and the scope isn't worth much. I could find a much better rifle for that money.

    Thanks you computer savvy moderator[;)]

That is an $800-$1000 rifle at best.

The guy is out of Salmon ID maybe Elmer got a cigar ash on it or maybe used it as a jack handle when changing a tire[;)] Provenance is worth money.[:D]

Nice set up for what it's for. IMO not worth the asking price.

Perhaps the seller would like to join in on the discussion, not that they owe anyone an explanation as to the price in the listing.

Want me to set that up, penguin, or do you prefer people to not step on your toes?

Start it at 500 bucks and let the market decide its value. The starting price is over twice what it should be.
