Griffin, Georgia-AP -- Authorities say a woman shot her two disabled sons at a Georgia rehabilitation center where they had been living. Both men died.

Police say 63-year-old Carol Carr waited in the lobby of the SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation Center for officers to arrive after shooting her sons in their room.

Carr has been charged with two counts of murder for the deaths of 42-year-old Michael Scott and 41-year-old Andy Scott. Police say both had suffered from a long-term degenerative disease.

Police didn't disclose a motive for the killings.

Never ask why but only the value of.

I just saw it on the local news. Both sons had Huntingtons disease. This is a degenerative disease of the brain. Neither son could talk or walk. A week earlier the mother had visited the nursing home and her son was laying in a pool of urine, and she had to complain quite a bit to get them to clean him up. She got into a big argument with the staff about the care her sons were getting. Her husband had died of the same ailment and her other son, age 38, has the same disease but he is not disabled yet, although it is a matter of time until he will be. She told friends that she was very depressed watching her sons die like this. They showed pictures of her sons when they were younger, big country boys playing baseball etc.

Man that story stinks. If you had a loved one in the same situation what would you do? I for one do not want to live in a Nursing Home of any kind, or be a burden to my family or friends.

You know, to be realistic, that women had to have a lot of courage to do what she did. Don't get me wrong, I don't condone it, and I was never in her situation, thank God, and if I was, I don't know what I would do. Stop and think about it for a minute, that was an awful situation to be in.
Can you imagine what must have been going thru her mind at the time. She was caught between a rock and a hard place. Does anyone know what they would have done if they had a couple of kids that were just like vegetables, and just existing. Absolutley no quality of life, can't walk, talk, eat, drink, change clothes, go to the bathroom, take baths without the help of others.
I know I wouldn't want to continue life as a vegetable.
I don't know, but I can't help feeling sorry for her.
