Some of you may remember that I had to get a new chamber in my .308 cause the old one was sloppy. Well, I got her back some time ago and just shot this weekend. The results turned out that I should use a Hornady 55 grain A-Max, 42.0 grains of BLC-2, and Lapua brass. The result was a .353 group of 5 at 100 yds. That new muzzle brake sure tamed the gun also. Some guns you just can't sell or trade.

Boy,I bet that 55 grain bullet was a real screamer...but it sure would have to be short.and the twist sure must be tight. That ain't your deer load,is it ?

If you ever get a chance to put that gun on a chronograph I'd be interested in the results.Personally I love my PSS,I've never shot a more accurate rifle right out of the box.I've been kicking around the idea of converting mine from a trap door style mag to a detachable mag.I see they offer the trigger guard/mag housing in Brownells but I'm a bit wary about the gunsmithing involved,Josey.

    Josey1,
Could Remington do the conversion for you at a reasonable cost.
