    That's really too bad. I greatly enjoyed hearing a conservative voice from a black man.

    Met him a couple of years ago and was impressed by his honesty and values....got the impression then he was frustrated and tired of the Washington game of politics.....

    You are right it will be a loss to the conservative contingent. Too bad he gave it some of his best years. Prior to politics enjoyed watching him play football for Oklahoma.

    Would be nice to see him become a lobbyist where he could possibility make an impact for our cause.

    Confident we have not heard or seen the last of J.C. Watts.

    Maybe he will run for Lt.Governor with Steve Largent.
    Or vise versa.

    It's a damn shame losing a good man like him. I really thought he was going to go places, but I guess the internal politics caught up to him.
    Hope we get another good republican to replace him. We need everyone we can get, not like that jerk and traitor to the Republicans, McCain.
