Has anybody else received e-mail that are suppose to be from captkirk3, then you open them and they are links and a warning comes up this could contain a virus. I'm not a computer expert so I stay away from this kind of shi!. I received three more in the last day I didn't open. Is someone using his name or what, or am I missing out on some important GB stuff.

According to my Internet Service Provider, I received an email that in fact there is a virus that will attach itself to different web sites that one might visit and in turn send a virus from these (what appear to be safe) sites.
I was getting the same thing a couple weeks ago from different senders and my virus protection would do as yours is doing and quarantine or delete them.
    Nasty stuff.

You know,I think it takes a low down filthy snake to delibertly try and give someone a virus, and damage their equipment.Im no computer expert so thanks for sharing that with us.

Whoa, rugster! Most viruses are being sent automatically by people who did not know they had one.

I know. I just had to purge my system of the Klez virus. Norton Anti-Virus just ignored it and let it slide right on in.

The Capt would not purposefully beam you a virus

I think the Rugster is talking about the low-lifes that write the viruses in the first place, not those that inadvertently pass them on.

I just got one the other day, I don't know where it came from, but my Anti-Virus program picked it up and quarantined it.

    Nunn,
Now that you mentioned it, I think it was the same as yours, the Klez virus. I'm not a 100% sure, but it sounds familiar.
