Been reading on here for years and its been very interesting. Other forums/boards come & go but this one just keeps hanging in there. When I'm home I check in here every day.

I have often wondered the age of the people who post here.

I am 71 and will be 72 in August.

Buell shows Taylor Prescott, old scout and mountain man, his new Appaloosa horse.

"I love `em. He'll run flat out for five miles and then be ready to come back just as fast. I can't wear `im down. Want to ride `im?"

Tay looked at the horse and smiled. "My bowels move reg'lar and I can still make water, Buell. At my age, I ain't lookin' fer a fast horse."

Now that's putting it all in perspective, wouldn't ya say. Ain't the years, it's the miles.

I even knew it was "failure to communicate" with no a, but then I am very young, but have a grasp of the most historically important facts of the last half century.

Bonus points for answering these: 1 is easy and the second is third round tournament trivia...

    1. What group recorded "The Lion Sleeps Tonight"?

    2. Who played the Dragon Lady in the 1940 movie version of "Terry and the Pirates"? The answers on Monday if no one knows.

I'm 66 in two weeks, but only got 8 right. That's because I never, ever watch television, and never ever listen to what's called pop music these days.

Yeah...yeah...yeah...So a few of you "intellectual" types never watched TV. Next, you're gonna' tell us you can listen to the William Tell Overture and NOT think of...."Return with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear. From out of the past comes the thundering hoofbeats of the great horse Silver......
    The Lone Ranger rides again!!!!"

in comics try Smiling Jack, Tim Tylers Luck, The Katzenjammer kids
and on radio, Ohmar the Mystic, Lux Radio theatre, Grand Central
Station and I love a Mystery. Guess I am a little older.

Wow. That quiz was really a heads-up.

    I'm only 18, and I only got 4 wrong...

It just so happens that I have a halfway-decent grasp on history, which includes pop-culture history.

    I know many things.

I chalk it up to that.
