Ate home how many guns do you have and what type. No need to tell the brand and the caliber but I just needed to know that I am not the biggest gun nutt in the world. Follow my Format

Hand guns = 12

Shot Guns = 1

Rifle = 1

Other = 0

If you will blame gun makers for every shooting then blame car maker for every car accident.

    As I do a lot of trading, these figures are not static, sometimes double that

    I have about everything that I want right now. I keep throwing around buying a original Garand, or SA m14. Buck mark plus in the near future. Original Thompson would be nice.

    Ruger -- Used to. Don't any more. I migrated to the .40.

    As for how many guns I own, I'm beginning to think I don't necessarily want to print an inventory for the insane paranoid spies who might be monitoring this board thinking the American people are the enemy and looking for excuses to come and take 'em. I like the above response: not enough. Not nearly enough.

    I have some. That's all anyone has to know. Why the hell would anyone post their inventory in public? Well, that's your business, and now it's the world's business.

    I dont see the paranoia about keeping your guns secret from the evil government to come take them.If you bought guns legally they already know what you have becase it is on record they are registered to you.Every gun I own was legally purchased and registered so they know already what I have and anybody else in the world wouldnt get them regardless.It is still my legal right to own firearms and defend myself.For all the people I see saying if the Goverment comes to get their guns they are gonna shoot somebody or somebody is gonna get hurt,that somebody will probably be you if you go firing on federal agents.Of all the ones there is probably 1% who actually would.A statement like that looks bad on gun owners as well because it makes you look like some unruly outlaw.Like it or not law is law and has to be followed to live properly.I support keeping my right to bare arms as much as the next gun owner but if it is outlawed what am I going to do leave my family with no father because I like my guns.HELL no.I love my family.What am I missing here?Explain to me why I would have a reason to be so careful or secretive?And dont go labeling me a Liberal I am not in any sense of the word.I am a Realist.

    Eric --
    I don't exactly disagree with your sentiments, but reality being what it is, if somebody ever pushes through a confiscation program, a little civil disobedience may become the order of the day for millions of Americans, just as it would if the First Amendment were cancelled, or the Fifth, etc. Do you really want to post a checklist for the guys with the search warrant? If you do, be my guest. Make sure they get 'em all, every single one.

    Actually, there are still a lot of guns in this country without papers, mostly private transactions and war relics where they were never required. Of course if you move to Kalifornia, by law you must now register every single one of your handguns, even if it's that world war relic that has never before been registered in all the time it was handed down through the generations of your family. That concept bothers me more than a little. "Your papers, please." The more the U.N. talks about global uniformity on issues like this, and the more headway the Schumers and the Bradys make, the more sense private transactions make, while there is still time to honor the Second Amendment.

    But hey, that's just me. Your mileage may differ.

    A "gun-nut" should not be defined by quantity.....I'd rather own one nice Kimber than 20 M-44's.

    And just for the record I would think it would be better to provide a list rather it complete or not than to just say none of what you have.So in the event they do come they can thoroughly investigate you and stay up your rear 24/7 till they find them.Never said my list was completely itemized.Just a list.I would never lie to or deceive the Government in any way after all I owe them the same honesty they have shown me all these years.

    Offeror on your comment of civil disorder being the call in a time like that.If people band together and want to fight that decision I will band with them and fight.But what I wont do is go Rambo in my home in front of my children and turn my house into a shooting gallery blood bath nd fight winless situation and maybe get my wife or kids shots in the process just to make a point.Better ways to get things done then a one man army.Especially with how hard it is to get full auto's already:)
