Just read this article about Private Police forces being able to make arrests and issue tickets.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/crime/private-police-carry-guns-and-make-arrests-and-their-ranks-are-swelling/2015/02/28/29f6e02e-8f79-11e4-a900-9960214d4cd7_story.html?hpid=z5

Seems like there is a lot of area for things to go wrong.

Wonder what you guys think about this? especially LEOs opinions.

I always told ( joked ) the fellows who live around the small town I do . I would be glad to be the patrol officer ( they have not had one for years contract out to the sheriff to patrol xx amount a times a week )
I joked that all I needed was the town to make me the official LEO . I would provide my own truck , equipment ,, what ever was needed , and for my part I would get to keep all fines received for the tickets I write [:D] I was targeting the speeding everyone complained about .
and of course cash fines paid on the spot would have a 25 % reduced rate for the offender [:D]
I guess I was closer than I thought

If you watch the Justified series, "Bob" is filling that job.

The VA "SCOP" only needs to have completed 40 hours of training.

I sure hope Shilowar is a real LEO.
