Notice they only lit one city in Africa, Johannesburg. That is crock of cr*p. Jo-burg is the rape and murder capital of the Africa.

[:0] OMG!! if sydney is a "safe" city then all i can say is god help the poor buzzards living in some of the other poop holes around the world![}:)]
it is not advisable to go to the western suburbs of sydney in daylight if you can avoid it, let alone at night!
it`s full of ...hmmm, how to put it so the captain won`t kick me off the forums.....ah ha! "new australians of middle east appearance"
and they are the crime bosses of the country![:(!]buzzards!

Obviously not the way most of us would define safety. The list was apparently compiled through a study of "health safety" which looks like it had more to do with population to hospitals ratios and infrastructure safety to "digital security". Whatever that is.

There are certainly safer places to live than these places.

The same people that would list Mexico City as a safe city in Latin America. Chicago and Mexico City are enough to prove that the list is BS!!

The "study" just picked the largest cities then ranked them for safety relative to one another. Doesn't mean any of them are at all safe.

Someone at FOX must be reading G.B. !!!

Report on CHICAGO the NEXT DETROIT ?

quote:GUN VIOLENCE: Chicago has one of the highest gun violence rates in the country. Economist John Lott says it's because the city has some of the strictest gun laws.

Now, the rest of the story.

Sao Paulo and Mexico City? Really??? In the my ignorant days of my youth I survived riding the subways of both those cities and Chicago. All three places my local friends were astounded. You did WHAT? We took the EL to Kamisky for a White Sox game.... "And Lived?"

I'm surprised that New Orleans isn't on there.....

My wife and I rode the subway all over Mexico City one time. It seemed safe, what with the Federales every 20 ft with machine guns and all.....

This so-called study is being misinterpreted. It only says that Chicago is less dangerous than Los Angeles; not that any of the cities are safe.

Just saw on the news ---- the Dept of State is now worried that Caroline Schlossberg, our ambassador to Japan, may be in danger in Tokyo.

Too bad Hillary wasn't as concerned when Chris Stevens complained about his safety in Benghazi.
