I've had more than that in the Jeep when going to a range.
We scheduled a full-auto shoot for one of the guy's birthdays.
In addition to the full-auto brought by a local shop, I brought:
Two .50 BMG bolt rifles, 5 round mags
One 1918A3 (Semi-auto BAR)
One 1919A4 belt fed
One Cobb MCR 300 (30-06 AR)
Two ARs in 5.56x45 with 100 round mags
One PLR-16 in .223 with 50 round mag
Two 1911s in .45 ACP
One Desert Eagle .50 AE
Probably around 1,000 rounds of ammo for the above.
I've always wondered what the news story would have looked like had I been pulled over for something. [:)]

Like I said... "almost correct". Not quite an arsenal, but it does appear he had something planned in that warped mind of his. And it's not off topic to discuss his mental issues at all. Guy is a nut case. Needs to be locked up.

I don't know how you can jump to the conclusion that he had mental issues, as you never know what those chips can do.

But, this wasn't his first encounter with the mental health system. I'd like to know why his previous mental problems did not prevent him from obtaining/retaining all these guns. Especially, a machine gun (if the article is accurate).
It's in our interest to help prevent mental cases from having guns.
