They are getting better at these things all the time. I had one a while back and the worst part was choking down all the stuff to clean you out.

One of the very few perks, eh?
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

This is my second. If everything is well I'll not have to have another for about 5 years. As for having it done.. I would have it done on court square rather than go through what I did with that operation, chemo, radiation and pain of the cancer. The test is nothing compared to that. I know!

..It seems like a lot of folks don't remember the procedure at all.
I got a good dose of Versed and Fentanyl, yet was still awake enough
to crack jokes. What really got me was when the monitor went black
and the male nurse said "Uh oh, we hit a dead end!"

Doc talked me into getting one about 6 or 7 years ago....and like an idiot I agreed.

    NEVER AGAIN!!!

For years afterwards, bowel retention was near impossible for more than a minute or two. Even today, years later, when the 'urge' becomes evident, there is no delay in finding a restroom.

That particular orfice of designed for stuff to come OUT of ~ not go into!!!

you may have had a pretend doctor....never a problem or discomfort of any kind except prep..which you can ease by eating less for a couple of days prior...watched several die from colon cancer and it's not pretty....family history ...DO THE LOOK SEE
