...this home security salesman calls the other night peddling his system, told him I wasn't interested. He insisted I could never be too sure....told him I had two dogs and lots of guns to take care of any "intruders". He replied that those measures weren't adequate....I finally gave in, told him if he could break into my house and survive, I'd buy his system.....he hung up, was it something I said?

Very likely it was Rembrandt, very likely it was.

I tell them I have a trained alligator with AIDS. They hang up on me, too.

You can't beat a dog for your first line of defense. When the bad guy hears that barking he is going on down the road.

Usually I just tell them that I am in financial ruin...tens of thousands in credit card debt,on the verge of banckrupcy.

Then I ask what kind of finance plan they have, and if I can string the payments out over 5 years.

On the subject of guard puppies, do you guys rememeber the situation I had here with a wacko female breaking into my home with violent intentions? Well, I have an 80lb (yes she is fat) Keeshound/shepard mix attack dog in the house. somebody tell me where in the heck this dog was when this wacked out feminnazi was in my home? Thining about this now, I had a big fight in my house with an uninvited stranger and my wonderfull overweight mean garbage disposal was hiding under a bed upstairs!!! I'm getting a new dog, any suggestions?

An old guy I know has an Akita. Anybody familiar with this breed of dog? They're Japanese, I think, and look kinda like a cross between a Husky and a Chow. His weighs around 75 pounds. They are VERY protective and VERY loyal. I get along great with dogs. Never met a dog I couldn't eventually make friends with. This guy's dog gives me the impression that it TOLERATES me being around, even lets me pet her and throw the ball for her, but if I made a move she perceived as threatening she'd absolutely bite the hell out of me. The old dude told me she was the best security system money can buy.

lowrider....Akita, to the best of my knowledge..(acording to an artical supplied to me by the seller of a pup I recieved once)..were originally bred as gaurd dogs for the emporor of red china. Half shepard, and half siberian husky. The one I got from the lady was the best dog I've ever had. Extremely intelligent (all be it, a bit to independent), very loyal, and very protective. I now have a shepard * mainly so I can breed her to a husky.

keep lots of extra uppers for your ar..you can change often enough to keep the thing from over heating...what ever caliber fits the moment..~Secret Select Society of Suave Stylish Smoking Jackets~
