I heard on the wheather channel that Philadelphia was going to have a down pour today. I was happy when iI heard that, 'cause voter turn out would be low. Well the weather channel was wrong. I live 40 miles outside of Philly, and it is a bright sunny day. Its a little chilly, and hopefully that will keep the Rendell voters(virtually all of Philadelphia)home.

Happiness is a warm gun

    Salzo,

You have always been one of the best posters on this forum. I hope what I have to say does nothing to dampen your impression of me.
I used to live in Philadelphia. I lived there from 1965 to 1971. I lived in Germantown. I attended Theodore Roosevelt Junior High. Out of 1600 kids, maybe 10 were white and I was one of them. Now, I am no racist as I was born with a bit of a "natural tan" myself, but, if you're old enough to remember what Philadelphia was like in the mid to late 60s, you know what I'm talking about (I was born in 1955). Since escaping Philadelphia (with some permanent injuries from the beatings, robberies, and even stabbings I endured...at school) I have prayed that someone accidentally dropped an atom bomb on that miserable hell hole. I have never lived in such a violent place in my life (and I lived in Baltimore and San Jose and was a police officer for ten years!)
Has Filthadelphia changed any? Are you old enough to remember what I'm talking about? Too bad for all that. I think Pennsylvania (my mom is from Erie) is one of the most beautiful states I have ever seen.

I recently moved from Philadelphia to Richmond VA. It has changed alot. During the late 50's 60's and 70' it was a time of gang wars and violence. The city is no longer that way. It has it share of violence and crime as any other city or town does. It is also fluded with drugs as any other MAJOR city is. The Philadelphia police department is doing alot now a days to better the city and I respect that alot. I think Philadelphia is a great place to live.

If you will blame gun makers for every shooting then blame car maker for every car accident.
