I just got my CCW and I asked you guys for help on what I should carry. I decided to go with a Sig pro in a Stealth Holster. I am a big guy and it conceals very well. The only thing is that it hurts like h*ll. Is this something I just have to get used to or am I doing some thing wrong????

If you will blame gun makers for every shooting then blame car maker for every car accident.

I think Im with you on this one you are talking about it hurting to shoot? Not good at all I have big hands as well, and own a Pro .357 sig.I swithed the plastic grips, and put the rubber one that came with it on,its made for people with bigger hands. That solved my problem, and its easy to switch them out.Any gun you depend on for self defence of your self and your family needs to be comfortable for you as much as it does reliable.Hope this helps!!

The gun feels good in my hand and I can shoot it well. It just the when I am carring it pokes at my side and it hurts. Is there somewhere to carry where it dosent poke as much?

Ok sorry about that,There is a holster made by Bianchi called the model 7 it is availiale in brown and black.I own probably 20 of them and they are designed to hold the gun a little further from your body but still conceal well. They are made to contour to the specific gun you order it for.Midway USA has them for $39.99 and they are well worth it.The no.is 800-243-3220 I think this might solve your problem.

I'm not familiar with the "Stealth" brand or model but you might try carrying in the FBI position - just behind the hip. Close fitting/holding holsters can be a bit of a pain if worn in front of or on the hip. Give it a try, can't hurt (pun intended )

I dont know about the stealth holster, but if its an inside the pants holster, those can be a pain. I prefer a regular fobus paddle holster. Easy on, Easy off, quick draw, and the gun is very secure. If you get the roto-holster, you can adjust it to dray from the strong side, small of back, and I think you can even set it so you can cross draw. as far as holsters go, they are inexpensive and very well built.

    Casey,
I had the same problem but it quit when I started carrying it in the rear of my BVD's instead of the front.
