Since my coonass/redneck thread never took off........
Who can tell me the true difference between a coonass and cajun?
There really is a difference........

    A coonass is a cajun you wouldn't wan't as a neighbor;)
It's kind of like the difference between a good-ol'-boy and a redneck.A good-ol'-boy throws his empty beer cans in the back of his pick-up.A redneck just throws them out the window.

A Coonass is a person who really KNOWS
how to cook and play a fiddle.
A redneck is a bubba who has a pickupem
truck with a rifle and a sixpack in
    the cab.
A Cajun is from Arcadia Canada. Got
caught in an awful storm, according to
    my friend Justin Wilson.
    later,
    bud

It's actually Co-O-Naus. It's an eskimo term for a poor seal hunter.
They usually stick the worst ones on an iceberg and set them to drift. A redneck is a guy with a John Deer baseball hat, sleeveless tank top, and blowed out bib overhalls. He can hunt well but is usually set adrift on the porch all night cause he brought another gun home. Hope that helps.
