From that point Robin Bruins and his wife experienced a daylight nightmare when the senior citizens found themselves looking down the barrels of police pistols.

"Actually, I think I might have giggled to Bev saying, `well, I don't know what this is all about' and I put the keys on there," Robin Bruins said. "And I turned and looked back and saw three gun barrels pointed at me. And, obviously it hit me. Whoa! What's going on here. To this day I have never experienced anything like looking down the barrel of guns like that."

Seems like they should be able to afford another classic car in the near future.

Yeah but it will be on the backs of the local tax payers not the cops and dispatchers which misused their authority and decided to go gun-hoe and all with their authority.

A granny Bonnie and old grand-pa Clyde out for a wild ride and they got one![:D]

I don't believe suing is enough, at the very least the officer in charge should be assigned as the mounted patrols chief excrement officer since he's so well trained in slinging crap.

Really, how could this happen? I would have laughed it off until I realized they were serious. Then I would have told them to call the courthouse and talk to vehicle registrations, call my insurance agent, look at my insurance card, look at the registration in MY name, etc. But then there would be no major lawsuit down the road. Upon reflection,I guess they played it a lot smarter than I would have.

It's a good thing the old guy didn't try to hike his pants up out of habit when he got out of the car......."he's going for a gun" [:0]....he would have had 47 bullet holes put in him [:(!]

Just wait when The Federal Guidelines go into play! Southern White Christians will get the worst of it because their ancestors had the gall to succeed from The Union! [:D]

This was a case of things gone wrong but at least the "victims" played it cool and did not exacerbate the situation by pushing the COPs to over react more than they did.

The cops were wrong but they made a mistake and IMO it was not intentional.

This does not rise to the level of No knock warrants (that should be abolished period!) or the many events were COPs are abusing their position unlawfully and unconstitutionally and then having the system continue with the injustices.

This was wrong, it was unfortunate but I would guess these cops apologized and meant it.

    IMO
