When I was a child, I thought as a child. But now that I am grown, I just wish I could act like a child and get away with it.

I've seen a few posts about not "feeding the trolls". I'm not up on my forum jargon. What is a "troll". I take it to be something bad.
Trolls are generally, but not always, relatively new members, who have no real connection to the purpose of the forum. We have had a few here at GB lately who joined with the apparent intent of promoting liberal values and advocating Kerry for President. There have been others with more obscure intent who perhaps stir out of some personal psychological need. One man claimed that his son died of complications of being wounded in Iraq, when in fact, he had no son in the military. His defense later was that children had obtained his passwords and posted in his name, but however it happened, it caused a really big commotion here. Others seem to have some knowledge of firearms but present highly improbable stories about alleged experiences.
It sometimes happens that totally straight-forward people, with no malicious intent get labeled as trolls. This happened to me at a forum not related to firearms. I was simply attempting to gain information on a topic, but my point of view was so far off from the mainstream of the forum that I was labelled as a troll, roundly flamed in a couple of threads and thereafter ignored.
This is what is meant by "Don't feed the trolls" Behavior that is ignored will eventually cease.

No Highball, that would be a DICK, not a troll.
Don't "F" with kitty!!
I took it as a compliment. I mean, better than being the same as everyone else. It'd be real boring if we were all the same. We just need to work on respecting each other's differences a little better.
I'm here to stay, guys. Ya'll are like family to me now.[:D][:D]

You are knuckle-dragging ape with a gun.
A troll MUST NOT have his or her own opinions.
You are also a troll if you ever talk back or critcize someone.

Of course here in Michigan, a Troll is someone that lives in the lower half of the state (below the bridge) vs a "Yooper", someone that lives in the Upper Pensulia.
Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.

If I was a Chinese person I'd be trying to land a job at Norinco or making crude muskets at home.
