Receving emails with virus attachments....

I have posted a few messages on this forum and on one other forum within the past 2 months. Since that time, I have received 2 emails that contains attachments with a virus. Fortunately, my ISP either deletes the email or cleans up the attachment. I might also add that the email address I use for these forums is an alternate that my ISP allows me to set up. I do this so if I start getting a lot of spam, I can kill the email id and be bothered by my junk to my regular email.

Just wondering if others are experiencing the same probem?

If you open the offending e-mail as a text file in Notepad, you may find routing information, including even the e-mail address of origin. You can also set your software not to automatically download attachments from your ISP server. We have had problems in the past, but they have been cleared up as far as I know. Make sure your viral software is set to check your outgoing e-mail so you don't spread it any further.

The company I work for for had its' IT department completely revamp the opperating system at work. We are in the process of setting up new production formats in the hope of being more cost efficient. As they were working their way through setting up the new programs we are using, they found just short of 4,000 different viruses that had "piggy-backed" in on various e-mails. All these from different senders, and all in just the last eight months.
