Pickering- I AINT NO JUDAS

Just saw on CSPAN several people from the state of Mississippi offering their support for Pickering nomination. Several of the supporters were democrats, and several of them were black. One supporter was the brother of Medgar Evers,civil rights Icon whose murder was made into a movie with Whoopi Goldberg and Alec Baldwin. He was asked why Pickerings nomination is being blocked, and he explained it was because a bunch of Yankees are doing as they always do, playing the race card, and creating racial tension where it does not exist. He also explained that those same Yankees are going after the state of Mississippi.He was asked what he thought of a comment made by a member of the congressional black caucus, in which Evers was called a JUDAS. Evers responded "Well you tell him that the black caucus aint Jesus Christ." "and if I am a Judas, I am the best Judas the black caucus can have."
