Well folks, I will be leaving at daybreak for the hunting camp.Loaded up the truck with my guns, ammo, and food for a few days.I love opening weekend deer hunting. The camp fire will be blazing, and all the members will be having a toast to the new season.Sausage, and brisket on the grill. The excitement is in the air,as the smell of the white oak burns into red embers.Young kids ask questions about the morning hunt!Yes, I have been able to live for a new season...[;)]

Today is opening day of the Ohio deer season. Any Buckeyes hunting today? I hunt over a bean field which at this time of year is a evening hunt. I rarely if ever see them in the field in the morning. Will be out there this evening hoping to put some venison in the freezer.[:p]

Mr. Lobo.....I grew up in Yuma and was going down to meet up with my lifelong buddies to hunt, but won't make it this year due to medical problems. My sources tell me that the doves and whitewings are buzzing around like flies. Especially down in the valley near the Cocopah Indian Reservation. There hasn't been any rain or storms, so the doves don't know it's time to head for Mexico. Good luck and be sure to sign up for the "largest breast" contest at Spragues Sport Shop.

We are heading to Imperial Valley early tomorrow morning. Dove season is the kickoff to hunting season. Good luck to all!
