Could this be reversed again at a later date? Not that I don't welcome the news, the 5 to 4 was not overwhelming and leads me to smell a rat in all of this.

    FrancF, do you think that this means that US CA people will be able to shoot the handgun we want, use the mags we want and get to shoot those nasty black guns again?

    Of course it could be overturned later. The supreme court has deemed it's purpose as a interpretor of the Constitution in modern terms. If future justices decide differently it will change. Nothing is permenant in US law.

    I for one hope it does! I would love to buy a second AR and all the goodies. But in the back of my mind something tells me the states will start passing new laws to appease the anti-crowd. In other words, state laws will become more defined and restrictive.?

    For me it's to much to take in at the moment. Thats why I asking-

    The politicians have to look at the polls and see how widely popular this ruling is. I would think that a politician looking at poll numbers would back off this type of legislation.

    This was NOT a positive ruling...they basically just raped the 2nd Amendment. It is going to take the will of real men to restore it...

    I think you nailed it. I think if I applied for a CCW here in Santa Cruz
    it would still comeback in short "Sorry your a common person, "Declined"

    But, now for every "Declined" there is a lawsuit waiting to happen. How many lawsuits till they have to say "Approved".
