Policeman disciplined for way he chased thief
A policeman who ran half a mile to catch a car thief was told off for the way he gave chase.
The policeman raced after the man when he abandoned his stolen motor after a car chase.
The thief was forced to give up when he realised he could not shake off the policeman who is a keen amateur athlete.
But the prisoner, charged with car theft, later threatened to sue over the 'reckless and oppressive' way the officer had chased him. The thief had cut his hands and damaged his expensive jeans.
Top officers at West Yorkshire Police gave the policeman a verbal warning for, "Dangerous and careless chasing on foot."
Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.

That is a neat trick Saxon, how does that work?
That story is not far off the mark here in Kalifornia. There are cities that have passed laws prohibiting the Border Patrol from pursuing load cars in their cities. This followed after a chase with a load car had a one vehicle accident and some of the illegals in the vehicle were killed. The bleeding hearts said that it was all the Border Patrols fault, even though they had terminated the pursuit a few minutes before the T/C.
