I just finished looking through the "going going gone" section and found 12 full pages with only two sales. There were a few other bids that did not make the reserve. Has the gun market gone south? Or---??

Gun sales typically slow in the summer ... in fact there isn't another Gun Show scheduled in our area until September ... Kansas City has a very few and that's about a 1.5 hour drive (one way) ... sales are so slow dealers dont want to pay $40-$60 per table, pay for motel rooms and eat at McDonalds to display their wares ... only to talk to each other. Between September and May, you can generally count on 2 "big" shows per month in town ... all the small shows have dried up! Two years ago I could hit 6-7 small shows (60-120 tables) a month in a 60 mile radius ... now only the big promoters are putting them on ... and they have been pretty disapointing, new dealers selling new stuff at full retail prices ... and a good 1/2 of the sellers were selling jewelry, beanie babbies, cutlery, sunglasses, or other crap ... occasionaly you could pick up a nice "whatever" walking around ...

Too many people are busy with yardwork, camping, fishing, painting, yada yada yada, to get out and have REAL FUN!

The only bad thing about choosing a Kimber ...
... there are so darn many models to choose from!

That and some of the starting pricing has been outragous. Saw one shotgun I liked, but is way overpriced. Seller relisted 12 times, and still no bids. I guess he was waiting for someone special.
