Does Peter Arnett have a gun to his head?

Just wondering. The way he is talking now, I don't think I can trust anything he says any longer. If he isn't lying to save his skin, then he is simply aiding and abetting the enemy. Either way, his credibility in this country is pretty much neutralized.

It's possible he could be scared for his life, and his taking sides with them to save his *.....

Track record indicates there is no gun to his head.....past comments indicate this is his true feelings about America....this last episode will no doubt mark him for the rest of his career.....(which I hope is a short one)

I agree that he has a very poor track record. I don't believe that he was under duress. In fact his statements fit in well with those he made in 1991. Seems to be in character for him. He works for National Geographic and strings for MSNBC. I wonder what effect, if any, this will have on his employment status. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he is a naturalized American citizen. So that makes his on air statements treason.

If he had a gun to his head he was cool. He appeared relaxed and in control. If he is under the gun it's his own fault. He had time to get out. Maybe he can go to work for station that interviewed him. If it's still standing.

No. He has stupid in his head. Do you know his track record? Did you know he falsely reported that US forces, in Vietnam, were using nerve gas? He is just an idiot, that has been exposed once again. I believe this is the third time he has been caught reporting a story that is false.
