Tim Tebow a new force?

He has been called a new role model for today's youth.

Is there power in prayer? Could Tim Tebow be the icon for a new movement in a lost world?

Does God answer prayer or car less about football on the world stage of potential super bowl opportunity...

I find it hard to believe that while thousands are praying for their loved ones to recover from cancer, or come home from the war...and abroad millions are praying just to survive day to day...that God is busy watching a football game [xx(]

Really??? Really??? You do realize you're talking about God here, right? The same who created the universe with it's billions of universes and planets; the same who created mysteries so far out of the reach of us mortals that those secrets will never be discovered.

Do you really think God is soo busy watching over some sick and dying humans on one little tiny spec of sand in some distant galaxy, after doing all that, that there would be no time left to have an interest in a 1000 different football games at the same time, on 15 million different planets in 2 billion galaxies???

In fact, define "time" for God.

    C'mon.

This whole tebow and religion thing has gone insane. Lot's of players pray, not because they want to win the game so much as they just have faith. Nobody has a kinniption fit when Troy Palamalu crosses himself after about every play. I can't count how many players I've seen pray before, during and after games. Nor how many SuperBowl winning speeches included something about faith. Why is Tebow any different????

Well, I'll tell you why...this whole Tebow and religion thing took off about week two (or three, can't remember) before Tebow was even starting QB. He went in the game as a Wide Receiver...just because he wants to play the game. That act got noticed. He's got heart. He's competitive, tough...and he's got faith. Some people can't deal with that I guess. I think some people are actually worried Tim Tebow might just have more faith than they do.

To not like Tebow because he might somehow be taking God's healing powers away from somebody's sick grandmother is, well, pretty absurd really.

I was in no way implying that...but rather the opposite, that we as individuals are all so insignificant in the higher order of things that divine intervention on behalf of an individual in a football game is highly improbable.

My opinion is that it is Tebow's FAITH, and not actual intervention, that helps him win. If its the morale boost he needs, I say more power to him

Setting the religious aspect aside, I'd rather cheer for Tim Tebow than Michael Vick or Ben Rapistburger

Wait, is this where we get the line that "it just wasn't in gods plan" for Denver to win?

Every day that ticks by where people still believe this nonsense amazes me more than the previous day...

After about three years of losing at Denver, he will be traded to somewhere like Cleveland.
