Here is the site
http://www.crackerthrower.com/index.html
I would like to know if;
1. They work
2. How far will they through a cracker
3. Are they hard to hit.
I like shooting clays behind the house but I don't like the mess they make. I figure animals and my dogs would eat the crackers and there would not be a mess of broken clay pigeons laying all over for me to clean up.
Thanks for any responses.
Are they worth a hoot?

IT'S WHAT PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THEMSELVES THAT MAKES THEM AFRAID.
I have a Mk IV Combat Master that was made in the late 70's early 80's. I bought it used for about $270 in 1983 at a pawn shop, off of 1st Av in Seattle WA. I was stationed at Ft Lewis from 81-91.
This was my 1st Semi Auto Carry gun. Before this I had Carried a M38 S&W Airweight. I had a Colt Series 70 but it was too big and I wanted something different and cool looking, that Mk1 Combat master filled the bill. I had applied for my Washington State Carry permit(They were easy to get back then) so I wanted a new gun to carry.
I shot the snot out of that little gun, I replaced all the springs in it every year. I carried it with hardball ammo(and still would today) and I kept a spare mag in my pocket. That little blaster went everywhere with me. When I lived in the barracks I kept it in my truck in a box locked behind the seat.
I had Greg Kramer make me a holster for it when he was working out of his garage. Its a belt slide holster but it fits the gun really good.
I carried that gun just about everyday(When I was off post) until 1993 or about 12 years. I wanted to do an overseas tour so I left all my guns at my Mom and Dads house.
When I got back to the states 5 years later I got most of my guns but I forgot about the little Mk1 Combat Master, that was 1998. I kind of stopped carrying concealed for a year or so then got a Glock 19 and that was my and still is carry gun. The little Mk1 stayed locked up in my dads Gun safe way in the back.
Fast forward to 2007. I went to visit my Dad and he asked me what I was going to do with the guns in his safe? I am like what guns?
He goes and opens up the old safe and pulls out 3 pistols I had all but forgot about:
A Colt New Frontier in 22lr and 22 Mag(He kept this one), A 4" M19-2 S&W(I gave this gun to my FIL for a house gun) and that little Detonics Mk1 Combat master.[:D]
They were all cleaned and oiled, wrapped in a old wool army sock.
I had not laid eyes on any of them since 1993.
Well me and Dad took the guns to a indoor range and put 100rds through them. The Mk1 still functioned flawlessly like it always had with Hardball or Silvertips. Big Hollow-points hung it up like the CCI but it shot silvertips fine.
I took the gun home to NC and stuck it in my safe. Well here it is 10 years later and I am looking around and lo and behold there she is again.
I just got back from shooting 60 rds of ammo through her in the back yard[:D]
The dueling tree was really spinning, those 230gr FMJs can push some steel.
Old memories.

I just went out and shot it some more[:D]

Looking for a new carry piece and saw this monstrosity. I don't really care for the look, but for up close and personal protection it looks like an interesting choice.
THIS one sure is purdy...

No, but that should prevent a few fires on Thanksgiving day. Although it may just lead to a few electricutions [;)]
