I have a chance to buy a 18' foot enclosed trailer, tandem axle, bumper pull for $1000. Dont know the brand, my brother knows the guy that owns it and he said he would buy it if he had the money. I dont need it, but was wondering if I could resale it and make a dollar? Or, if any of you guys are near WNC and want it, I can purchase it for a grand and you can have it for a grand. Just didnt want to see a good deal slip by if indeed it is a good deal.[:)]

Hahahaha
Look what the auto-censor did to C a n a r y!
Make sure it has a title, could be hot.A title itself is no guarantee.
I've seen vehicles/trailers that have had their public VIN's monkeyed with flying a good title, then someone who knows what they're doing takes a close look and determines they're stolen.
In that case it goes back to the owner or his insurance company. Whoever bought it loses their money, with civil court action against the seller being their only possible recourse.
I'm making no direct accusations in reference to the one in the OP, just trying to help others here by pointing out that any trailer being offered for well under market value warrants a lot of caution. Their theft is a widespread problem.
true,
but sometimes honest people get into tight spots too
worth checking into
Very true, which is why I didn't say to completely avoid good deals.
A low enough price can often make an honest man's eyes glaze over.
The low price does raise questions, our wonderful economy is the reason for some sales for needed cash.
The trailer was 18x7 with a rear door that came down to make a ramp. there was a side door on the right side. The brand was Union Trailer. The only thing that looked bad was several dents in the fenders. Spare tire was included. I would have bought it if my friend didnt.
