It's too shiny,,
Saw a round-window Ford Taurus today with new temporary tags. Produced about 1980, and somebody just bought it again. For probably $500.
I always liked mine, still do. They are nice revolvers.
If I could, I'd bid on the TNW Survival Carbine.
Best,

The Taurus came out with the first model in 1986. I had one, loaded. Had lot of problems, as first models will. Just a windshield for it was over $1200, heated and all that. All the gadget doodads went out one or two at a time. Brake problems. But I liked the car when it was working. I would never buy a used one.
How many rounds will it crank out before it locks up?
Bingo...I had a Taurus model 85UL and it was a handful of pooh. Brand new gun, bought off GB came complete with metal shavings and the cylinder binding. Never buy another Taurus again.

That's a joke right? The terms of warranty render said warranty worthless.

Not a joke. You do not have to be the original owner for full warranty. Did you catch the part ... the only one in the industry..

So what? I sold the POS off, I'm not going to send it back to the factory, it should have been perfect from the factory the first time, it shouldn't take a second time to get perfect.
I have never handled a Taurus handgun I would want to own let alone rely on as a personal defense weapon
Stick with horse racing.. wait a minute... the Kentucky Derby winner didn't win yesterday...[:D][:D]
It goes bang every time I pull the trigger when it's not supposed too, eat's anything I put in it, (and it's not supposed too), and I can pretty much hit what I am aiming at with it, (again, when I am not supposed too)!
And, it didn't fall apart when I cracked a bad guy up side the head with it when he found out I wasn't a Cop and came after me! Wasn't it supposed too?
Damn Gun![;)]
The early Taurus's were a tad unrefined, however, they quickly worked through their bugs and have been making respectable firearms ever since.
I've also sent Smith & Wessons and Colts back to their respective factories for repair.
Taurus makes a decent product, at an attractive price, with an outstanding warranty.
Some folks like Hi-Point pistols, BSA, Barska and NCStar scopes, Smith & Wessons with integral locks, and recently-manufactured Remingtons.
If'n ya don't like 'em, don't buy one.
I would't give two cents for a Taurus semi auto, but we have one of these in the family (she liked the feel better than S&W), and it is a shooter, and has been a dead reliable shooter for 30 years. I believe I will bid on this one.
I just picked up a PT111 G2 and love it! It fires anything I put in it and is pretty accurate. It also takes Sig Sauer mags.
My Son talked me into getting a 9mm. saying that the damage inflicted was closing in on the .45. Plus, I have 13 rounds instead of 8.
Ricci, the production year was 1992.
