HELP HELP....HK SR9...is this pre ban?

I'm trying to get this listed.....and OMG at the crazy mess that was going on when they built these. Is this pre-ban and can the people limited by that criteria able to own this?

    None of the SR-9s are pre 1989 Bush Ban rifles so there should not be a collapsible stock. There will be a two letter code stamped on the magazine well which will give the date of production. Here is the key to the code:

    i dont think the stock is original, depending on serial number it can be dated from 1990-now

    I swear, when I picked this up in the lot of items someone had me pick up I just glanced at it and thought it was a 91. I pulled up a couple websites and they were saying things about the rifles that were here, but on the ban list being changed to other model numbers so they would be "ok" and I couldn't tell by what they were saying if these were pre ban or not.

    This is what I get for trying to figure out things after listing on the computer all day.

    I wouldn't be surprised right now if I walked outside and saw a live dragon sitting on my barn!

    yes after the bush ban they changed some hk91's to hk911 and put a damn thumb hole stock on it{as did Springfield sar8}, which is not the sr9 it started a year later which had a standard stock

    This is part of some inventory that a local FFL kept when he gave up his license and quit selling. He just took all of his inventory and stuck it in his basement. This one is new, nobody has ever done anything with it....so I think the stock is original. I can't see him changing anything. He isn't the type that did any upgrades or changing to guns.

    well you asked, stock is not original , someone along the line swapped it out the sr9 is a sniper rifle not a paratrooper

    Stock is not factory. The gun to have (if you like HK) is the SR9T, not a lot of factory units were produced. Most are "parts guns".

    I'll ask him to be sure....he is what I like to call "mega retired" which mean hard to get ahold of.

    I saw one with the wood stock listed on GB...whoever has that one up for sale needs to revisit their listing because it looks like they have tried to add pictures in the listing that didn't work out.

    i have been an hk nut for many years, around 1989 i could not find one so i got me an sar8 and it came with that ridiculous thumb hole stock and pinned flash hider, first thing i did before i shot it was swap it out with an hk stock

    that stock is a 91/g3 paratrooper

    sr9 thumb hole, sr9t msg90, sr9tc clubfoot

    I didn't realize there were so many of these by HK.....I knew about the clones, but not the 911T and SR9.

    I have owned SR9T rifles. Don't get too excited about their accuracy with the pencil barrel. Trigger group is fine like a PSG-1 rifle but not close even with a cigar to a PSG-1's accuracy. There are a lot of rifles in semi auto that are totally more accurate than either of those.
