Good choice. To bad its not the Judge. I had one exactly like you bought only a hardtop and loved it. Traded the GTO for a AAR Cuda.

I had a 1969 442 when I was in my 20s. Came with a 400 and Turbo-Hydro (would have preferred a 4 speed). Rebuilt a 455 with all the usual stuff (cam, headers, intake, etc.) and added 4.56 gears. Somewhere I have a photo of me in the street in front of my house getting the front tires off the ground.

The Judge only supports the cost of other 455 H.O. Convertibles. Only 168 convertible Judges were made and just a few more in GTO's were built.

Not too many folks will drop hundreds of thousands on a car. Market is very thin for them folks. Of the 168 probably only a handful exist. I know any 455 GTO in a ragtop is one heck of a investment.I puchased mine for a song.. and will make a killing when I sell it someday.BTW only 241 of mine were built. That car at Mecum is actually a repaint of the wrong color and they estimated it for that !

Mine was the green color GTO. Very common color back then. I went from a 69 road runner convertible to the GTO to the Cuda. Wish I had them all back. The 455 had some quirks, hope you don't find them in yours.
