Between Bry'ann and myself if we choose to be greedy and are lucky we could kill

3 elk
4 deer
1 antelope.

I have the antelope tag and will try to fill that asap when season opens. I'm going to skip archery for elk this year since this is going to be Bry'anns first time ever going hunting and I would like her to have a chance at an elk. I only want one elk so if I was to be lucky and get one in archery season she would miss out on her chance, my choice not legal. More than one elk for us would be a waste and greedy so she gets first chance.

Deer, I know of a nice spot to take a couple whitetail does, if we can bag an elk I'm only going to shoot one deer, no elk means we will try to fill all 4 deer tags.

We go through a ton of burger so an antelope will be all burger, elk will be a nice variety and a deer to go with the elk will get turned into summer sausage [:D]

That is awesome Lonnie. Hope Bry'ann scores on a nice elk. That would be great. Here we can harvest 28 deer with all the permits. I stop hunting after I harvest one, because like you said, it is a waste. No one eats venison except My son and I. Donna hates it. When my parents and sister still lived here, I would kill five or six a year. They lived on Venison.

Good luck and post some pictures of your wife's first elk. Hey Lonnie, How is Kenny doing and is your oldest hanging in there with you???? Your little girl must be getting big now. How old is she, two or three now??? Good luck and happy hunting. Oakie

Good luck. We had a blast last year going for antelope. Saw quite a few muleys too but did not have a tag for them. (Including this guy who seemed to know that particular sunset was the end of the season...
