...fine, but be sure you have CSPAN-2 on in the background -- they have live coverage of the debate on the Gun Liability bill RIGHT NOW. Right now, 11:15 Eastern, a quorum is not yet present, but it will be, an opening statement has been made, and the debate is under way. We CANNOT AFFORD for amendments to be attached to this bill regarding a new outlandish AWB (which will include tons of plain semi-autos not covered in the past) nor a gun show prohibition. So the bill must FAIL if they succeed in loading it up with these "poison pill" amendments. Our object is to see amendments like these voted DOWN today or any day this week.

Sorry to harp on this, but this day/week may affect us all in a primary way for years to come.

Ted is complaining "we don't have TIME to cover the unemployment matter but we DO have time to consider 'special interest' legislation!" while he is stalling the debate on the Gun Liability bill. If they would get to it, and pass it without wasting even more time trying to add onerous and irrelevant amendments, they could move on to the next item of business. What a hypocritical windbag.

Unfortunately, Feinstein is the arch enemy. Like it or not, we need to listen to her. Not heed, but listen. She's the one who's admitted wanting ALL privately-owned guns confiscated. Heil, Diane.

Feinstein should get a special Oscar this year. Knowing her positions, her syrupy attempt to sound like "the reasonable one" are postively creepy. She should maybe audition for "Omen 4."

Oh yes, Diane, how can we give the gun industry protection from frivolous suits? Boo hoo hoo.... Say, have you trumpted any up, lately???

What a two-faced cynical witch. She damns what she calls "the gun industry" as if they had no right to sell their product in a capitalist society by traditional methods. Ooo, they're engaging in "negligent marketing!!!" Ooo. Exactly what types of marketing would she like to ban in the U.S? Well, surprise, folks, she doesn't get around to telling us...
