For the 600, GO JR!!!!!!!!!![:D] Really don't want Johnson or Jeff Gordon to win. They are both to cocky for me. Thet both think their sh** don't stink.[xx(][xx(]
Put his racing stats up, and he ain't that good! His name got him his ride.
I have to admit...I am pulling for 24! [:D]
If 'junior' wasn't 'seniors' son, he'd be just another runofthemill driver.

I won't disagree with that. He does have some talent though, he does alot better than alot of the drivers out there. And I do believe that JR knows that too. It is for sure he knows that he will never be as good as his father was.
I don't find jimmy or jeff to be all that cocky, as a MOF, jeff has matured very much over the last 5 yrs.
you wan't cocky,.......look up Tony Stewart[xx(] Everything he does is right and everything everyone else does is wrong,..can't stand his attitude. I think he needs a helicopter ride,...that calmed down a lot of the "once cocky" drivers.
anyone know why he calls it "My House"[}:)] Go Jimmy Johnson!!!!! number 48 would look soooooo nice with 5 out of the last 6 cup races at Lowes under his belt.

Look at Tony Stewart's record. He is a great racer. And if you are commenting about a helicopter ride, the way I think you are , I am disappointed in you for making such a comment. Davy Allison was a good person, racer and family guy. So was his brother Clifford who died also in practice at M.I.S.
he may be a great racer,...but hitler was a great leader too[B)] He is an azzhat with a bad attitude. Anyone who continually badmouths Matt Kenseth who is probably the cleanest driver on the track, obviously has an ego problem.[8]
I stand by my call, he needs an injury to scare him into modesty. He is going to be the one who kills somebody with his banging and shoving and blaming it on others,...I just as soon he be the one to get hurt rather than someone who gets caught up in his mess,..and he WILL cause a severe wreck one day, that is absolute.
I would laugh hystericly if Kyle Bush was the one to send him into the fence after his little blame game he's been playing.
and,...T.O. is a great athlete,....but what is he really in real life (point and case!)[V]
Stewart cashes in on record year

NEW YORK Tony Stewart's best year in NASCAR's Nextel Cup series reached the bottom line Friday, with the two-time champion setting a record for single-season earnings.
Tony Stewart's best year in NASCAR's Nextel Cup series reached the bottom line Friday, with the two-time champion setting a record for single-season earnings.
He picked up $6,173,633 from the points fund set up by series sponsor Nextel and NASCAR, and added $517,000 in contingency awards from sponsors. Combined with the prize money earned during the 36-race season, Stewart's total of $13,578,168 breaks the previous mark of $10,979,757 by Jeff Gordon in 2001.
Stewart, who earlier in the day had a migraine headache that caused him to miss a breakfast at which he was to collect several checks from sponsors, was feeling a lot better on stage Friday night during the formal awards ceremony at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel.
Stewart is a lifelong racer, a driver who ranks making money below winning races, winning championships and just driving the car.
When told he has now earned $48.4 million in his Cup career, Stewart rolled his eyes and shook his head.
"I'm not going to give the checks back," he said, grinning. "But we didn't start racing because we thought we'd be collecting a big check at the end of the season. We did it for the thrill of winning races and, at the time I started racing, wanting my trophy to be bigger than the next guy's trophy."
The other nine drivers in the second Chase for the championship also were given big checks Friday night, along with 11th-place finisher Gordon and rookie of the year Kyle Busch.
Runner-up Greg Biffle got a points fund check for $2,624,124, while 10th-place Kurt Busch, the 2004 champion, received $1,151,543. Four-time champion Gordon, who didn't attend the ceremony, got $1,075,386, including a $250,000 bonus for finishing 11th.
But the spotlight was mostly on Stewart, who spent the week in New York celebrating his second championship, along with crew chief Greg Zipadelli and team president J.D. Gibbs, son of team owner Joe Gibbs.
Among Stewart's official duties during the week were leading the Chase drivers on Wednesday morning in a caravan of race cars on a drive through the streets of Manhattan _ snaking from Rockefeller Center in a loud parade to the front of the building several blocks away on Park Avenue where NASCAR maintains an office.
"That was really a lot of fun," Stewart said. "Ryan (Newman) did one of the best burnouts I've ever seen, at least on a New York street, and the people really turned out and got excited."
That was Stewart's theme the entire 2005 season: fun.
That was not the case when he won his first championship in 2002. That year, he was often angry and miserable, battling with other drivers, photographers, writers and even fans.
Stewart is the first to admit that at 34 he is considerably more mature than he was three years ago.
"I'm a happier person," he said. "I've learned how to deal with a lot of things and, this year, I just wanted myself and my team to have fun. I owed that to these guys after they hung with me for all these years."
The crew of the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Chevrolet has remained virtually unchanged for Stewart's seven years on the circuit. But Zipadelli said this year was definitely different.
"We worked just as hard and had some ups and downs, but it was mostly fun every week," he said. "It was just a whole different atmosphere and everybody enjoyed it."
Stewart said he also is better prepared to spend next season as the reigning champion, representing NASCAR.
"I always asked in 2002, what exactly is my role?" Stewart said. "But I think it's just doing the same things we do each week; promoting our sport. Just trying to be a figure that everybody respects is probably the hardest part of being a champion. But I think we're up to the test."
On Friday at the Waldorf, the grin on Stewart's face told the story.
"It was just a fun year and this week has been a lot of fun," he said.

Thats the chance you take,..and Jeff calmed wayy down after his ride.

After he won the Indy Stock Car race I shook his hand that night at the dairy queen in his home town. He promised if he won Ice cream would be bought for everyone. I wouldn't wanna see that bill,, there were thousands of people at the Dairy Queen.
He promised if he won Ice cream would be bought for everyone.
Auto sensor? Don

LMAO.. No really ..Ice Cream at the Dairy Queen.
not that anyone else but kristov cares, but Fernando Alonso won the Monaco Grand Prix. Good race, but CBS coverage both sucks and blows.
Hope you NASCAR and INDY fans got better coverage than I did. If Speed Channel doesn't cover a F1 race, no matter how good the race is, CBS manages to "F" it up.
I agree with you on the CBS coverage...IT SUCKS!!!!!
And who was the idiot who scheduled the Indy race and the F1 race at the same time....MORONS!!!!!
HE'S A JERK!

They didn't even broadcast the Indy 500 in high def. I was disapointed in that.
Oh, and BTW, Jeff Gordon has won over 74 million is his career. I am not a Jeff Gordon Fan, but he can drive.
Now Jimmy,...this might just be his year[:D]
Dale, yeah he is riding the last name,..I held hope for quite a few years, but I am losing hope for him. He IS improving, but maybe some maturing time will bring him around.
Ohhhh, and BTW, who's house is it[}:)] Jimmy's house[^]
a million dollar week and a second place for more points in the cup this week. Gotta love that[8D]
KYLE BUSH is raw talent in motion!!!
The kid is going to best his brothers record, I'll make that prediction way ahead of time.[:D]
and to stir the pot a bit[}:)]

His name is Kyle Busch. He has done pretty good in the #5. Now the Coca- Cola 600 was boring. 13 gal. fuel tanks.. pitting every 17 min or so.. heck the race was in the pits not the track. I just got some good news from an old friend.. An old retired Nascar Driver.. coming to visit us in September with his sister.
Too bad the 5'oclock rush hour tin top group didn't put on quite the same finish but at least everyone in both races walked away healthy!
Amen today to our fallen hero's.
I'm irked I wasn't at the 500 this year. I missed the second closest finish in its history. Andretti carried on the family attitude though; cocky meanies.
id rather watch open wheel & NHRA than nascar anyday-stewart should have stayed in indy cars-he would have had a couple 500's under his belt by now
The spark is back at Indy and running flat out on all eight cylinders. For those of you who have never been, tickets are available for next years 500 online now at indy500.com (no I'm not affiliated, just a die hard fan that would love to see other fellow rednecks in the stands.)
I'll be watching the IRL later this year at Richmond and at the fabolous Kansas Motor Speedway. The KC track is layed out with the fan in mind, with multiple exits and Interstate interchanges it's a dream to get into and out of, no more waiting in lines after the event.
If you want consistently close finish's, theres only one series to watch, IRL.
I bet Stewert takes another poke at Indy one of these years and it wouldn't surprise me to see Jeff Gordon give it a go too.
The Nascar boys are at Dover this coming weekend and the IRL heads to the fabled Watkins Glen, should be another excellent fan viewing experience on all accounts.
Regards, John
Stewart will tell you he's going to kick your *, and most of the time, does. He's "old school", in a way that many of you younger fans, that don't remember racing the way it was in the 70's and early 80's can't understand, before all drivers were bought and sold in the marketplace, and expected to "work" for their owners in the shop or on his farm, and had personalities rather than profiles, when driver's were sponsored by businesses like "Route 6 Auto & Body", and "Ida's BBQ Pit", rather than corperations, when loyalty meant something, before the years of "parody", when you were considered a p u s s y if you didn't put your bumper to somebody to let them know to get out of your way.
I like to see Dale Jr. win, too. He's just so darn adorable....[:I]
the boys at http://ww.crapwagon.com/ will tell you why!
A good read, but like all crap, it should be taken with a grain of salt.[:D]
