Speaking of grips.

Maybe someone can help me out here. I've got a set of staghorn grips that I know are made for a Colt revolver. The screw holes and notches line up perfectly on my Agent, but they overhang the bottom of the grip frame 3/8 inch. Rather than cut them I would prefer to just purchase a Colt that they were made for.I've got a thing for the old Colt revolvers anyway. Would that be the Detective, or a Diamondback or what? Might even be a different butt style for the Agent. Mine is very small and the Walnut grips cover the bottom like a one piece grip. I just love the look of the staghorn grips on that dark bluing on the old Colts. I got the grips at a flea market for twenty bucks a couple of years ago and have yet to find a gun to put them on.

Big Daddy my heros have always been cowboys, they still are it seems

Sorry, I cant help you with you're problem.
However I must say I like the way you think, buying a gun to fit a pair of $20.00 grips.
    I bought a S&W model 586 with the 8 3/8 barrel because I didn't have revolver with a 8 inch barrel.
    I love this country !!
