Finally, took a vacation day Friday (1st in 4 months). Loaded up some odds and ends, and took off for a day of fun at the range. As some of you may have observed in a previous post, I normally punch paper with modified rifles etc. Today, it was just to play.
Got my chronograph out for the 1st time in 4-5 years. My brother and I took 2 Sig 226-9mm, 2 Mossberg 44D and 44US, and others. Here are a few results of different ammo. (remember these are not not scientific laboratory conditions, just a 92 degree morning, light wind, and a nice shade tree)
Here goes:
CCI 22LR Quick-Shok 32 gr. Mossberg 44 US 1750 fps
Beretta Mod 21 1071 fps
Zapper 22 LR Ruger Gov mod 22 1136 ave
1120-1154 norm. ave.
Beretta 21 861 fps
Glenfield 60 1189-1202
Mossberg US 1223fps ave
Rem-UMC 9mm Sig 226 Ave 1144 fps
1133-1144 over several groups
Will update more after today if anyone is interested.
