Would you believe I'm just now realizing your ID may have something to do with Rugers and not rugs? My bad.

Offeror, I thought the same thing about Rugster's name!!

That little .17 might be kind of fun.

It's a funny thing about Ruger. You say Ruger handgun and I don't get excited, because to me that's a value-priced 9mm. Since they started making .45s I have a little more interest in their HG line.

But you say Ruger Mini and I have a whole different perception. Classic wood-stocked carbine (short ranch rifle) in either varmint or defense calibers, depending upon your point of view. Love the idea of this utility rifle, which is why I like the idea of the stainless too. But being a man of much .30 caliber Russian ammo in storage, I might go for the Mini-30 first. I had it backward for a while, I thought my AR mags would fit the Mini-14, but it's the other way around -- 14 mags fit an AR. So that's no good, unless you feel like drilling all your AR mags with that little hole that seems to make all the difference. Then of course there's the 10/22, for those who plink young.

I would say I own at least 90% of their Model Fire Arms.I dont have the single six, because I have the Bearcats and other simuliar to it.I may one day be able to add it to my collection.I dont have the Police Positive either, but Im looking.I pretty much have all their Models.I have always been a Ruger fan,and most of their stuff is hard to beat.I bought a Mini-14 about 4 or 5 Months ago chambered for the 222.I thought It may be rare, but a member of another forum told me they werent of any collectors interest.I wish Bill Rugers Design of the XGI would have hit production,it was to be released in 85 or 86 But Ruger could not get the bugs worked out and announced they would not sell the Rifle. It was an upscaled version of the Mini-14.

Well, I knocked 'em but I will admit to owning three. The GP-100 I really like, but both of the rifles got new triggers at $95 a pop. They are really decent, value priced guns, with Brady triggers.

Yep I agree, there triggers seem to need a little work, My 44 Mag Super BlackHawk had to have a little trigger work before I was happy with it, and I just got a new 25.06 that's going in to have some trigger work done also. But all In all I think Ruger makes a fine firearm!!

I've owned several Rugers and still have some. Good, serviceable, accurate firearms all. Not as beautiful as some on the market, but always well worth their cost and some far more (JMHO). Saxon, you may **NOT** have my original .44 Carbine. Not no way, not no how! And that goes double for my first issue M77 .220 Swift Varmint!

I think you been standing to close to the High Power Lines.
I also noticed you weren't proud enough of your own guns to name them.
Maybe I can figure out what they are: Jennings, Raven, and/or Davis.

RugerNiner: just stirring a little fun OK? Really, I do own a few Rugers, customized 10/22-.920 Shilen SS barrell and other mods, and a Gov Mod Mark 2, and a few more. A few years ago, my brother ran a gun shop, and I owned 3 M77 rifles. Very nice rifles, but I seemed to demand too much accuracy from a standard production hunting rifle.
About that time, I became involved in the paper punching game, which can push a person to the extreme in demanding the best accuarcy from any firearm. I do have Sako and Remington production rifles. but to be fair, my bench guns are Remington origin.

My carry gun is a Sig.

as far as the Lorcin, Davis, etc., they make pretty good trotline weights, I have been told...
