Paper money question

First of all, I will flat out state that I know absolutely nothing about the different aspects of paper money or coins.

My question is this: Today someone paid for a tax prep in cash and I was going through my deposit for the day and one of the $10 bills looked different and I noticed it is a Series 1950B. What looked odd about it is down at the bottom it says "Will Pay To The Bearer On Demand" Ten Dollars.

I don't guess I have ever noticed that on any bills before. Is this bill something I should hang onto or just go ahead and deposit it along with the rest of the deposit.

Thanks in advance,
Stan

It's worth 10 dollars. Whatever that is worth these days.
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

Does it say Federal Reserve Note across the top or Silver Certificate.

If it's Silver Certificate, hang on to it!

Don't know a lot about paper currency. I do know enough, to know that most of it isn't worth much over face value. But, then there's the "cool" factor. Just having something around with 60 years of history behind it is worth something to me. I'd say stick it back, and spend it if you have to someday. Still be worth face. In the meantime, you get to enjoy the "cool" factor!

Would it happen to be a star note, also known as a replacement note, indicated by a star next to the serial number?
If so, they average about $40.00

Not to be a downer here but our paper money is worth about as much as the paper it's printed on. Perhaps not today but it won't be long. Granted, some old currency has (for now) more value as unique. But that won't last forever either.

Right sc. Inflation - yes, but how does that occur? Talking about where the money goes and why inflation su**s. We print money like it's a fun event and pass it on to those that have no right to receive it. Eventually other's people's money will run out and that's when the big problem starts. No surprise to jeff, the handwriting is on the wall. Stay armed my friends. As P.T. said you ain't seen nothing yet.

From june 24 1967 to june 24 1968 you could have exchanged it for 10 silver dollars. Now it is worth the same as a new 10 dollar bill.
